Cardio vs Weight Training
This is a great question to ask yourself when looking to start your journey. Walking into a gym for the very first time can be a little overwhelming. All around you see exercise equipment, you ask yourself where do I start? Many of us just do not know where to start. Also many are scared of the so called Weight Room. What I can tell you is do not be afraid, Weight training will make you a stronger individual both mentally and physically. Now lets start with the positives to both. Weight training, breaks down the muscle tissue in our body. As our body recovers from this lifting of weights we burn calories. The more muscle our body is made of the more calories it will burn each and every day. Weight training will also keep our body in a higher caloric burn through out our day. Now for the Cardio, this will help burn more calories quicker then weight training. With this being said you however will stop burning those calories as soon as you step off that treadmill. So yes you should have a mixture of BOTH Cardio and Weight Training.
